What is Jungian Psychology all about?

Ever go to a lecture of the Society and wonder what on earth the presenter is talking about when they refer to an ‘archetype’ or to the ‘Self’ with ‘a big S’? Or question how complex can a ‘complex’ be? Or, where is the ‘shadow’ and of what? If the ‘unconscious’ is just that how can we talk about it? Some of these words have crept into our everyday language and perhaps we assume we know what they refer to but do we? What did Jung mean by these concepts? Come to this seminar and find out!

This 5-week seminar is intended to help you understand some of the basic concepts that underlie Jungian psychology and are part of an approach to understanding ourselves. In this seminar we will not only explore how Jung developed these ideas but also look at how these concepts can be useful when applied to our everyday experience. What does it look like when our ‘shadow’ is activated? How do we know when we are in a complex? This seminar is an introduction. No previous reading or study is required in order to explore these concepts .

Registration is limited to 12 people to provide opportunity for fruitful discussion.

Taught by local Analyst Mae Stolte.

Dates:  Mondays, November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30th.

Only one registration is required per person - your registration is for the full five-week package.

The Core Concepts seminar series is open to all Friends of Jung members.
