But when at last we penetrate to its real meaning, we find ourselves deep in the dreamer's secrets and discover with astonishment that an apparently quite senseless dream is in the highest degree significant, and that in reality it speaks only of important and serious matters.

From the Collected works of C. G. Jung, Vol. 7

The lecture will provide a progressive introduction into understanding dreams and the role dream analysis plays in accomplishing the difficult tasks of bringing our unconscious into awareness. Beginning with historical inspirational roots of dreams, you will be enlightened with a greater understanding of psychoanalytic approaches to dream interpretation.  Woven throughout will be some scientific data such as laboratory studies of sleep and dreams.  We will finish with Jung’s endeavour to understand dreams as the “art and science”.
